It seems that the AOR processing is suspended right now. :-\ :-\ :-\
AOR sometimes gets delayed even after 90 days, we sent application on june 28th, reached / delivered on July2nd, no reply till September 17th, still after accessing online status surprisingly the AOR sent on 14th but got on 17th.

Hi Everyone,

Online service on cic website is a bit confusing for me. Firstly, my timeline:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on April 28, 2016.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on July 13, 2016.
3. We started processing your application on July 27, 2016.
4. We sent you correspondence on August 4, 2016.
5. We sent you correspondence on September 20, 2016.
6. Medical results have been received.

Point 6 doesn't have any date but we have done our medical check on 28.08.2016 ....
There was no info on the website in regards to our medical check until this week (I noticed the change on 21.01.2017)
To make it even more confusing, today is 21.01.2017 and on cic website it says: Date modified:2017-01-05. I am 100% sure that on 18.01.2017 point 6 was not there.

I have responded to points 4 and a 5 shortly after the correspondence was sent to me. It was in regards to lack of medical check for non accompanying dependent. I believe that the situation was clarified in this correspondence, supporting documents were translated and sent.

On 18.01.2017 I have received request of paying landing fees, that was paid on the next day. They also requested copies of our passports and an updated info chart.

What is the next step? And the waiting time? Anyone has any idea?

btw - visa office: London, UK

it's not the date of status updated, it's the date of site modified or maintenance done, so don't mind the updated date which is showing below, mind it only if it is along with the point 6, i.e. medical results have been received ,if any date accompanying said sentence then you have to think, for every applicant, it's same, like your medical results have been received. that's it. be cool and all the best for next step

Thanks for the reply.

What I am confused about is that I had medical done in August 2016 but indication of it is only in January 2017.

What is the next step after paying landing fees and sending copies of our passports?

I have a question . I am from India and currently in U.K. for work . I received my Csq in Aug 2016 in India .
However , since I am in U.K. I applied for my Federal stage from UK . Now my assignment in UK is over and I have to go back to India . The correspondence address I gave in my federal application is my brothers address in U.K. Which is a permanent address . Now my question is if I go back to India , do I have to notify CIC on my change of address or should I not as the correspondence address I have given is permanent and someone is always there to receive any postal communication from CIC.

It appears that its "must" for you to let CIC know about address change. Also , CIC might want to transfer your application from London to New Delhi.

Thanks , but when will I come to know which Visa office I am assigned to. It says that I have to contact the respective Visa office processing the application and inform them. I have still not received my AOR and expecting around 1st week of April. Will I come to know which visa office is assigned when I receive my AOR ?

No you will not even after receiving AOR. However once you do, you will have access to ECAS and through it you will be able to contact CII and update your address.

It's my understanding that infopm will get Visa Office location along with AOR OR in a email notification few days/weeks after AOR. Anyways , my suggestion would be to reach out to current visa office that has application ( i.e Sydney - CIO) and let them know about address change. This way file will get transferred directly to NVDO instead of Sydney-CIO --> LVO --> NDVO and ensure that processing of application is not delayed due to LVO to NDVO transfer.

Appreciated

I think this is the right way to update the address which will not delay the application process as well.

Based on my experience assigned VO office will only revealed upon the first communication with the applicant which can be a request for additional documents or a medical request. There is no fixed timeline for that process and it can go from days to weeks and even months. Even the start of processing is not fixed, it can start as of the AOR day or weeks and months after it.

My concern with regards to your suggestion is that CIC will not be able to identify the application whose address needs to be updated without the AOR info (application number or UCI).
