I actually have a follow up question @legalfalcon.

Will there be employment check again during security stage? *I am asking because I was promoted by the employer, to help for PR. There is just hesitation that if I decide to change employers (open work permit holder) while waiting for decision and ircc calls/verifies again with the person for proof of work experience
Usually your documents for employment such as work reference are checked during eligibility. However, during security the authenticity of documents can be checked.

It is authentic. Just worried as to what employer may say after resigning. So I guess it’s still better to wait until everything is passed.. Thank you again. @legalfalcon

after couple of months.. as these are just recent developments, there wont be much different updates. Secondly, it takes about a few weeks time to receive the GCMS report..so I believe you must wait until May end [given, the current COVID conditions, please expect delays.] .. some link that I refer.. https://www.getgcms.com/

I am a FSW and I stay in USA , so does this mean it would take more than a year for FSW . And can you provide the link for the updates page ?
Hello @ntnmadan! I am sorry I just saw this. I am not sure, to be honest. The only information I found available on their website was for CEC from the link below (Pick "Immigration" and it will show the updates regarding all the types, but it is mostly CEC that is mentioned with more details):

Based on what I see it seems like they are still working on March 2020 applications that too only for CEC. @legalfalcon does that mean FSW applications and PNP applications for 2020 before March are not yet approved or processed ?

The only information that is available is mentioned on the website. It is not that FSW and PNP are not being processed, however, they have been put on a hold, until the travel restrictions are eased. Most applications have eligibility passed, and security has not started.

Some have all stages passed, but a COPR / PPR has not been initiated.

so highly likely that it would take more than or close to a year to get the COPR ?

Does this also apply for applicants from the US, who are exempt from the travel restrictions as outlined in the IRCC website?

If you are exempt from travel restrictions, then your application is placed in the exempt repository and processed. Many FSW outland applicants are continuing to receive PPRs and COPRs.

The cEC processing has gone from 7 months to 10 months, and FSW / PNP is off the charts. It was 8-9 months pre COVID.

How long did it take to process an Express Entry application?
Table 35 displays the time, in months, that IRCC took to process 80% of applications under each program. In 2019, IRCC did not meet the processing standard of finalizing 80% of all applications sourced via Express Entry within six months. The processing time for Express Entry, overall, was eight months. As an alternative measure of processing times, 60% of applications finalized in the 12-month period ending on December 31, 2019, were completed within the six-month service standard.

Table 35: Processing Times for Express Entry applications finalized by year and immigration category, in months

Data is operational and as such should be considered preliminary and subject to change.

  • Processing times refer to the time in which 80% of applications were finalized by IRCC. The processing time is measured from the day a complete application is received until the time a final decision is made by an immigration officer.

I applied through EE FSW-O category. My spouse is a PR holder in Canada. Will I be exempt from the travel restrictions? I had mentioned my spouse details in my application. I am currently residing in South Asia.
