I had my test on Aug 22nd and am waiting for the oath ceremony. They asked for me to send them by mail (postal) color photocopies of all my passport pages, which I did about 3 weeks ago. Did anyone get asked this? How long after this is the oath scheduled?
TIA!
We were asked for this and everything was reviewed and
accepted/input Aug 17th
Test July 11th
Requested pp pgs sentwithin 2 weeks of that
Oath ceremony... luck of the draw really as far as I can tell. Within 3 months seems to be a hopeful guideline.

This happened to a friend, he exercised the option to return to Canada. Unless there is something extremely pressing in the unfinished business department in India, I would return and see the citizenship through counting yourself lucky that you were offered the oath ceremony.

Did anyone here do their application through Vancouver? If so have you received your oath ceremony, invitation, or have an oath ceremony scheduled?

Feb 2020 Vancouver applicant. Nothing Since Aug 27 DM date. I have a friend who sent in March 2020 and done with their oath in late October. It's very frustrating to say the least.

Yeah everything marked as completed Aug 17th but oath ceremony not started. It does seem rather random. App received Feb 2nd,
AOR an eternity later. Test July 11th. Then nothing. So much for within 3 months. Yet I see I'm not alone...

OK, I see. Did you compliment them for their stellar services? They seem more responsive when you compliment them than criticizing them.
No I didn't. I complained about the length of time they're taking to.process applications at the Montréal office

Since covid everything is just happening randomly for every applicant and therefore everything is unkown. its not possible to know how long the rescheduling wait period is as there are no guarantees . There are some who had to reschedule and have had to wait months (4 months, 6 months or even a year) . I know someone who had to reschedule it and has been over a year and still no updates. At the same there are some who got it rescheduled in less than a month for example. So it really varies.

The only advice that can be given here is if there is a 1 percent chance for you to return before ur ceremony date then you should take that chance as it is the less risky option. Otherwise you would have to wait and hope that you would be among the lucky ones and wouldnt have to wait for months.
