Finally received our invitations to complete the online citizenship test today:

My status changed to In Process in Oct 2020 but yesterday I checked my ECAS and noticed that In Process date has been changed to March 23, 2020. Any ideas?

Happened to me as well. It wasn't showing anything on my ECAS, so I called CIC back in November and they confirmed that my application is in process. But last week it showed up on ECAS as 8th March.

Thanks for information , so it means they have started processing our application last year, correct? Probably in March 2021 they have done some works on our application

I honestly don't know what the hell is going on with them. When I called them last year, they did tell me that the file is under process, but they couldn't give me an exact date when it went into processing, and now it shows as 8th March on ECAS. I think they are just making shit up at this point to keep us all silent.

It doesnt matter what date they mention in timeline for processing. We know that they dont actually start processing for many 2019 applications are still pending without a test and if they actually started processing our Feb2020 applications 6 months ago then we should have received test invite. So at least they are working on your file which is good. Its a great possibility of getting test invite like houman-h too as his/her inprocess date too got changed to Mar2021 before getting test invite. May be new officers working on these files hence updating on the actual date of processing - who knows.

We have seen some files in 2019 that they completed processing within few weeks and some took more than a year for most hence their IP date is irrelevant.

Over the last month I saw many Feb 2020 apps have been invited to the test ( in the other groups). I noticed one week most of the Quebec apps received invitation and another week BC and another week Ontario and so on.
I believe our Feb apps will be receiving invitation in the next couple months. However we have a long way after test, interview and ceremony have a waiting line as well.

While i was trying to update the mailing address i had to update the home address too. Similarly i think that you can submit the address change online with your same address and different phone number.
You can call them too to update the phone number.

The test from my library covers quite a lot about the provincial & local general knowledge. I barely got any questions related to my province or the city that I live in. Maybe it is quite random.

For me, almost all of the questions was related to the two links I shared. There was about 25% true or false questions. Some of the questions was not straight forward, just read the question twice and then you can get 100%.
