Hi,

Update: (well not really since we haven't heard anything in over a month)

Anyways, our timeline is listed below and have yet to receive AOR2. Is this common and/or anyone else in this scenario?

Hi friends,

I will be sending the Schedule A form from outside Canada. I understand that you can only mail to a P.O Box using Canada Post. Since we will be using Fedex from outside Canada to mail it, can we send it to the courier address instead of this POBox address above?

Thanks, will appreciated you quick response.
Sorry I've no idea!! I would suggest using web form...that's the option I chose and they received it. But a bit late

Hi,

I submitted schedule A before but today I have been asked to submit schedule A and Additional family information again. One both of the forms it says the PA and their spouses and children have to fill these forms so does this mean that my wife(the sponsor) will have to fill both of these forms too?

Phone cic call centre and obtain information specific to your application. If they request RCMP from YOU(sponsor), then thats what they want, to check your criminal background. Remember one requirement to be a sponsor is no conviction of particular offence to someone related to you. If I were you I'd phone the call centre and comply with the request so as not to be denied as a sponsor.

Did you check to proceed or withdraw if found ineligible to sponsor?

Hi, not to further confuse you but in my case they requested the RCMP Criminal Record check. I stayed accumulative more than 6 months in Canada prior to my application. I was also asked upfront to submit my German PCC and then a month ago I got the request to submit the Canadian PCC. I cant tell you in which order they generally request things. I can only tell you how it was for us. I got asked for Schedule A early on after submitting the application. I had to upload a new copy of my passport because it expired and got asked to do my medicals. The latest request was for RCMP Criminal Record check (with fingerprints). I had to fly to Canada last week to get this done since I wasnt able to do it from my home country. In the guide for Police Certificates on their website they state that you have to provide a PCC for every country you lived in longer than 6 months.
I would assume you would get a notification from them in the near future.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I really appreciate it! Wow, I can't believe that there is no option for a person outside of Canada to be able to obtain fingerprints. I think if they request this, they need to provide applicants with more specific information on how to obtain these fingerprints in their own country. My partner is in the same boat ... he has no clue where to get these fingerprints done, in the event they will ask him to provide them. I don't know if he has the ability to come to Canada to submit them when the time comes. At this point, he is at a loss of what to do.

I hope you receive some good new soon after all your efforts!

Hi Vaib, as promised here's an update after we sent my PA's Sched A through post. Just a bit of recap of my situation...

> Submitted Sched A through webform 3x but CIC never received it.
> Submitted Sched A (IMM 5669) through mail with tracking and signature and was received by CIC on April 20th.
> Asked CIC through written consent if they can give us an extension to submit PCC.

So earlier today, I called CIC and the agent was very helpful to put me on hold and called the officer handling our file. The agent said IMM 5669 was received and attached together with our application. Our request for extension was granted by the officer "internally". According to the agent, the officer put a note on our file and once they receive the PCC they will start processing the application on PA's local VO.

I sent this through the address P.O. Box 3000 (for outland applications) and they were able to forward it with the correct department. I double checked with the agent and he said, this is also where we should send our PCC as soon as we get it from my PA's country of residence.

I hope that helps to whoever is in the same situation. I am just posting here what the agent told me. I guess different agents point you in different directions. But oh well, I am so relieved that they received our file and granted our extension for submission of PCC.

Hi everyone! After sending Schedule A in ircc webform I received this email "We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your file is currently located at a visa office outside Canada." Did they attached my Schedule A already before sending my file to the visa office? Thank you!

From my understanding, PCC are valid for six months from the date of issue. You should be fine.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp >> "Police Certificates must be issued within six months before you apply."

I hope that helps.
