Do you see a name or signature of the person who received your app at Mississauga ? Try to call them again and ask them to find the physical file with the help of your payment receipt, date of package arrival. The file cannot go anywhere on its own, it has to be there. Maybe they have returned it for incompleteness. Which address did you provide ?

There is no name of the person but just a signature on the delivery confirmation from Canada Post. The agent tried to look with my payment receipt, Date of package, Sponsor details as well as Applicant details but could not find any details or comments. I am guessing my file will be returned since i (Sponsor) filled my Ottawa address in the Contact address of the Applicant.

If it was returned, will it take more than 4 weeks to arrive to Ottawa from Mississauga?

Please refer to guidelines of formating your application package, CIC usually not return the whole package just because ONE form is missing. Instead if the whole application is un organized or poorly compiled with couple of missing docs or signature.

I will let you guys know once I get my package back. I had asked the agent if there is anything else wrong and he said that "IMM 5532" was the only comment on it. Im sure I have it all organized as per the instructions that's exactly why I am surprised that it is being sent back.

Anyways thanks for the help and will get back with more info so that others can also learn from this.

I called the CIC call center and the agent checked in the system using my receipt number, Sponsor's UCI#, Applicants Name and DOB but could not find any details. He suggested me to wait for another week, should i wait or submit a new package? It has been more than 4 weeks for me now.

My application was sent on Jan 30th and received on Jan 31st and was signed as shown in the delivery receipt from Canada Post.

Call them again on Monday. After calling three separate agents I was finally told that my application was sent back.

Hopefully you are not in the same situation as me.

I would advise everyone not to panic on seeing other peoples files progressing. Everyone has a different case so just stay put and yours would move as well.

Feb applicants have seen quicker SA's and AOR's as compared to Jan. The VO are still in the process of getting used to the new system.

As you mentioned that CIC started processing your App 10 January, then nothing to worry about. Not all receives AOR2 just like me. If anything else is needed aside from what you already submitted, you will for sure be notified. Which VO is processing your App?

I would just like to ask a little advice from you guys.

I have a boyfriend, an Iranian national. I'm from the Philippines. We've been in this relationship for almost 3 years now.

He visited my country twice for only a total of 3 weeks.

I'm about to leave my country and reside in Canada as a PR in a few weeks time.

We are thinking about getting married in the future (when i say future, this means very soon actually), in the Philippines perhaps.

Is this an option for us? To apply for an out-land spouse?

We haven't lived together continuously for year though.
