I was quite concerned myself as medical received didn't show also... Our medical results received showed up with our AOR2 so please don't be concerned and be patient which I know is hard to do as we are all experiencing it!!

I'm not sure if you have this yet or not but we were also asked for additional document from Manila VO of "advisory of marriage" from PSA, so if you didn't send it with your original package of would be a good idea to get it now so you don't have delays as I have seen lately that everyone is being asked for this document

What does it say for you?

Third line is generally considered to be AOR2.

Here is mine - Permanent Residence:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on February 15, 2016. (REC'D)
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 12, 2016. (WE NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING)
3. We started processing your application on April 4, 2016. (AOR2)
4. Medical results have been received. (MED)
5. We sent you correspondence on May 25, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required. (PPR)
6. You entered Canada at the Prescott office on June 2, 2016 and became a Permanent Resident. (LANDED)

The fact remains that if they started to process the PA's side of the application (Line 3 above), it means your VO has received your application and is working on it. Line 2, doesn't mean anything to me (above, as we didn't get anything in the mail or by email).

4. Medical results have been received. (MED)

From my understanding because they received it doesn't mean they started working on the file. We have to remember that every VO office is different! Manila VO processes over 60,000 applications a year which means they sit on files until their due date is up to start processing
5. We sent you correspondence on May 25, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. We did get an email for acknowledgment of receipt but like I said every VO is different and also I am thinking that since they are moving to their new system shortly here in July that they aren't updating ECAS but that's nothing new with them! Just my thoughts

Permanent Residence

1.We received your application for permanent residence on February 3, 2016.
2. We started processing your application on March 29, 2016.
3. Medical results have been received.

Medical results received showed up about a month ago and had no time stamp. We have received no email correspondence aside from the sponsorship approval email which was sent to me. Of the 14 Manila applicants we know of in February around 10 of them have officially received an email with the AOR2. Some in the form of more documents requested, others giving them a UCI number with no documents requested. We are one of the 4 remaining with no AOR2. Meanwhile almost all of January, March, April, May Manila VO applicants have their AOR2.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. If it was sent out the same day as ours, I imagine that it would be already at or across the border. I also get the impression that Ottawa seems to do a lot of it's processing for spouse visas on Thursdays. Even if it was send out last week, it should make it to the border before their threatened strike. All the best!

Did that request come as an email with a pdf attachment asking for it? If you were married outside the Philippines and can't get AOM then what's the alternative?

Yeah it gave a UCI that I as the sponsor can use that shows the sponsorship section and the permanent resident section. And then a the case file using my wifes information shows only her section. We have access...its just not giving us an AOR2 email...and it feels like everything is going horribly slow now.

Nope still waiting... I don't understand why our case dragging behind. Any one else processed in Ottawa had a change of address to outside Canada for the principal applicant during the process? I'm thinking maybe they transferred our case to another VO.

it depends maybe on the case officer, i remember that when I saw the ,we started blah blah your app in march 29 2016 is a way for us to know that we have our app on going. we are the same in terms of date they started. I really have no answer but I highly encourage you that no matter what happens ,it is the will of the Lord to have a wife and her husband be together. :) so dont worry, worrying won't adjust the time frame of your application. it will just cause you wrinkles, and when the time you and your wife will be together, she might end up asking, what happened, hehe kidding aside, you better apply for atip (gscm notes) :)
