When she first said she is calling from the case processing centre mississauga I was suprised that they even make phone calls.. She first asked to make sure she is speaking to the right person by asking few security questions.. I had a feeling that its a spam call.. but then she asked me.. my dob and the name of the person i m sponsoring..

then she asked me about my file.. basically, there was a confusion about the right address.. my pay stubs had my old address.. my application had my current address.. and i also have a different mailing address.. so that created a confusion.. it was all cleared.. i asked is that the reason for the delay for SA.. she said yes.. and i asked her the current processing time shows 36 days.. why is it this long.. she said 36 days is just an average time.. not a deadline they have to meet..

She said I will hear abck from them in a few days about my SA.. she didnt confirm if its approved.. but she said i will hear back..

Just to be extra careful.. i called back that number in 30 mins.. she answered.. i said i was just making sure if its not spam.. she laughed and said its not.. its a usual process..


I m pretty sure it is not a spam call.. but i m still suprised..

Wow... that gives me the impression that they check everything quite thoroughly
Good to hear that this phone call has shed light on the reason for SA delay

It took me 20 days from AOR1 to receive SA - I'm starting to believe that this is due to the amount of materials I sent in and therefore a long time for them to match up the details and check for discrepancy

I think your SA is on its way and you should get it by next week ;D ;D

1.We received your application to sponsor ******* on February 9 2016.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 15, 2016.
3.We started processing your application on March 14, 2016.
AND (In other PR side )
1.We received******* application for permanent residence on February 9, 2016.
2 We started processing ***********application on March 28, 2016.
3 Medical results have been received.
so my question is is everything alright and whats next have to come i paid single time full fees before applying Is that mean everything alright in canada side and couple of days ago my wife received email from Delhi office they received her file and whats going on in india cic office and hw long they will take to make decision

If it never says Medical Results Received that just means it will have to be done at a future date? We did our medical in October of 2015 which I believe will cause us to have to redo before this entire process is over. The lines we have are:

We started processing your application on March 16, 2016.

Permanent Residence Application Status

Police & Drivers Certificates:

Hi everyone, I had my police and drivers history certificate completed at the end of November 2015.. these are good for 6 months right? I'm the PA and my application began processing as per ECAS on March 29th - do you think I will need a new set of certificates or should I just wait to see if they want me to get those again.

We did our medicals in June 2015 and we have the medical line on the principal applicant side. However we're still waiting for AOR2.

Ottawa VO doesn't usually send out AOR2 from what I have read. I never received one.

I waited two months with no updates on my ECAS after my file was transferred. By the time I saw the "medicals received", not long after I got DM. My third line was requesting documents. So for two months nothing. That was a hard wait too. Sometimes all you can really do is just wait.

Ottawa VO doesn't usually send out AOR2 from what I have read. I never received one.

I waited two months with no updates on my ECAS after my file was transferred. By the time I saw the "medicals received", not long after I got DM. My third line was requesting documents. So for two months nothing. That was a hard wait too. Sometimes all you can really do is just wait.

It has been 50 days since they have received our documents, and we still haven't received any reply. Today, we called them, and the response we received was that they are now processing applications that they received on the 25th of September and that it will be a couple of months until we receive any reply. Has anybody else called the office in Mississauga and received a similar response? This seems very strange since we are following this forum and everybody has received their AOR much earlier.

The email you got means you have AOR2.

Next step after this are as follows (approx.):

Request for Additional Documents -> Criminal Check (Eligibility) -> Interview (May be waived) -> Passport Request -> Confirmation of PR

How long this takes, really depends on the case and the VO processing the application.

All you can do at this point is wait and keep an eye open for any correspondences from CIC.

I waited two months with no updates and then I received an email requesting a Statutory Declaration of Common Law form, then ecas updated to third line. A few weeks later it updated to "medicals received", which ended up being my fourth line and then soon after it updated to DM.
