February 2014 PNP applicant that already submitted their application to NS CIO

So, CIC recevied your application on Jan 06 2014? I know January applicants received passport request , most of them though..Feb applicants waiting..4 some 5 months since IP..

cic received my application on 30 Jan 2014.

This morning I received a response to an email I sent to CIC on Nov. 5, 2014 which I requested to know the current status of my application that was received by their (CIC) on Feb. 27, 2014. Below is an excerpt of the reponse from CIC:


Good morning,

Please be advised that your application is currently in the queue for review by an officer. You will be contacted in due course

Thank you,

Client Service Unit

Citizenship and Immigration

Centralized Intake Office

Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada


I would like to know if anyone in this forum has received similar email from CIC, if yes, and how soon did it take CIC to get back to you based on the reply above.

This morning I received a response to an email I sent to CIC on Nov. 5, 2014 which I requested to know the current status of my application that was received by their (CIC) on Feb. 27, 2014. Below is an excerpt of the reponse from CIC:

I asked a consultant about the current timeline for the complete PR process, n he said cic is taking approx 15 months now to complete most application. 2 months back the average time period was 11 months. so looks like we have another 3 to 4 months to go.

Hi, I got exactly the same response from them.

I sent my email on October 16th, and got their reply on December 16. Precisely in two months.

Even I received similar email on Dec 15th 2014 as a response to my email on 15th Nov 2014. I requested the current status of application and if anything required from my end. Application received by CIC on 24th March 2013.

coz in my pnp nomination latter has my employer name that means i’m restricted with my employer and not eligible for owp. That is why i withdraw and i applied for close one

Thanks Bhim, ManZZ and v_volf, for your swift responses to my question. One more thing that was giving me concern was the fact my application is not even showing to be "in process" as per Ecas. Is it possible to get PPR request/decision made without IP?

My friend's e-cas changed to In Process only when she got a passport request. But that's rare.

Good morning Guys,

I have a question. I am PNP (AB) candidate and CIC received my application on Feb 7th 2014.

Currently my ECAS status is showing "In Process" since Oct 6th 2014.

Please correct me if I am wrong!

Based on the posts on this forum I am assuming that most of Jan 2014 applicants have already got their PPRs and now it's our (Feb 2014 applicants) turn to get our PPR.

If that's the case should we hope that we'll get this PPR any time this month or should we keep 3-4 months in our mind to get PPR as some people saying that average processing time is 14-15 months now?
