I know the feeling. The MP always say it takes 17 months, it is normal, bla bla, I also get this kind of messages from my MP.

But most of January applicants got DM OR PPR. The process time around 12-13 months.

Few feb applicants got DM these days. I think cic is moving. We will be dm soon
I agree , Feb applicatants are getting DM..

Hello Everyone

Just need everyone's thoughts on this

Hopefully next week i will get my new WP, should i apply for multiple entry visa? if yes does anyone know how long does it take ?
because if i will get PPR within that time then i will have to wait until i get my passport.

i was thinking to do my landing from immigration office rather crossing border.so i wont need visa.
after landing procedure can i leave country or not ? I am planning to visit back home as soon as landing is done. I am gonna ask my roommate to send me PR via courier or with other friend if they are going back home. when i come back i will not need visa because i will have my PR card with me.

Thanks everyone in advance :) :)

Yes good idea you can landing first and than you
Can leave country if you have a friend who can give your pr card
By hand it will be good because if you send it by courier there
Is risk if you lost.other option is you can apply travel documents
From your home country fees 50$ around.
Take care

Hello,

You cannot choose multi/single entry visa now, it's all now multi by default.

You can leave Canada and return even with your worker visa expired, provided you only visit the U.S. and no other country.

And as to landing, you will have a specific type of visa for landing. It will be an 'immigrant' affixed in your passport if you are from non-visa exempt country.

Thanks for your help. No I am not from visa exempt country. probably I will do inland immigration(won't cross border) and then leave Canada and wait for my friend to send my PR card with someone.

you can book your landing process at city hall in your city :) but it takes more time of course I guess that's why people go to boarder and finish it?

When you get your passport back there usually is a letter with instructions for a time/date on when to go to Service Canada (not necessarily always at a city hall) to perform your landing. Usually it's 3-4 week wait so most people prefer to do a flag polling. Especially since right now it's approximately 48 days to get your PR card from the day you do your landing...
