Need PPR ASAP
My WP is going to expired in two months(23 Jan 2015).
I can't decide, should I apply for new WP or not?
I was thinking to wait until 1st week of Dec...

i saw many guys frb applicant got their IP in Sept, in that way march applicant should get IP in oct or nov but nothing happened yet...

I have a question if anybody can help me. I am a May 14th applicant, eCas status application received, medicals received. The question is how does it work for applicants who are from visa exempt countries. I have heard that they only request copy of the passports when it comes to the end of the process ( DM and PPR). and if so, what document do you receive to do the landing , just a letter or so??. Anybody who has experienced the landing without being requested to send the passport for stamp?

I am March 13th Applicant and got IP on 15th September and I believe most of Feb applicants got IP on August.
in that way April applicants should have received their IP on October but they haven't yet... we are just guessing they are backlogged a lot.

and once they check everything they send you a document called "COPR (confirmation of permanent residency, I believe)"

and then we go boarder to land with that document. When the officer confirms that document, and then we are finally done..

My sister's wedding is fixed in feb that's 3 feb and I wanna go but problem is I don't have multiple entry and my work permit is bounded with employer plz help me should I send my passport now for multiple entry and I will be safe as my application received on 24 march and IP since October 16. Plz let me know friends I worried a lot

To add to what Diaboluce said,
There has been couple of incidences where CIC requested Passport for applicants from visa exempt countries instead of requesting "copy of passport" and sending them direct COPRs. Having said that in most cases they requested only copy of passport.

As much as i feel your pain, the safe bet for you is to not do anything. If you do not want to complicate your application any further, you might as well just wait. Although CIC is very unpredictable, it is high time now and if you are feb applicant there are high chances that you might be getting your PPR anytime now. So, although it is very sad that there is a chance that you might not be able to make it to the wedding, i would say just wait and watch. Stay put. You might get your PPR by Jan and who knows you might be flying back in a short notice and you would still make it to the wedding. Just saying. Of course the decision is yours. If you really want to apply for multiple entry, apply after this week. They will return your passport in 2 weeks anyways and even if you get PPR you will still have 30days - 2weeks to turn in your passport. Good Luck!!!!

Order your GCMS notes. Most probably, it will say Eligibility, Criminality and Security Check - Not yet started. But doesn't hurt trying.

I have a quick question based on the response above, is it possible to apply for GCMS notes more than once? I had requested for my GCMS notes in June which I received in July info on it shows as follows:

App Rec'd: Feb. 27
Medicals Rec'd April 13 -
Medicals passed - based on my GCMS notes received in July
Criminality: in progress
Eligibility: not started
Security check: not started
RPRF: Complete
Cost Recovery: Complete

Since the July when I received the GCMS notes, I was wondering if I can request for another one to know why my application is still not showing IP by now.

GCMS Notes is just a 'system' print. You have the right under the Privacy Act of requesting your information as many times as you want.

The $5 is just a processing fee.

GCMS notes is not a service provided by CIC, it's just your information and you have the right of having it.
