+1(514) 937-9445 or Toll-free (Canada & US) +1 (888) 947-9445
So I've finally received the second Russian Police Certificate (they requested a second one because they didn't like the fact that the first one had no letterhead) and it looks almost exactly the same as the first one that they rejected. No letterhead, same wording. (Except this one is in Russian and the first one was in English.) Well, that was to be expected - the Russian consulates I talked to (in Japan and in Canada) told us they issue documents according to their official format and do not deviate from that format.

Anyway having a certified English translation done and hoping Manila VO will not tell us to get a third one. Which would be insane. I sent Manila a scanned copy of the second Police Certificate (obviously, we're sending the original, but that will take a couple of weeks yet, we're waiting for the translation) but no word yet about whether they'll take this second Police Certificate or not.

Fingers crossed...

Not answer yet....

If they have not answered the last mail, the chances that they will reply
to a new one are very low.. Is what I would think....
If you want better response maybe is better to go to your MP,
they always answer to the MPs.

What is an MP?

MP

Member of Parliament

You can go to your local Member of Parliament's office and one of his/her assistants will hear you out and put in an inquiry. CIC might take weeks to answer you, but they'll answer the MP within a day or two. Helped us a lot when we couldn't get answers from the Manila VO regarding our police certificate!

Is it just me or does it seem like things have slowed down considerably around here? We sent in our additional documents - new immigration photos - almost a month ago and we've not heard or seen any new movement on our application. I thought we would have by now, but maybe I'm just anxious and it's totally normal.

Everything was moving fast until the end of July...

Is there anyone here who applied in February 2014 and has Singapore as the VO for the 2nd part of the Spousal application? Did any of you receive any response from them recently, either asking for re medical or police check?

February 2014 applicant in SVO here. Haven't heard anything from them yet. Any update on your end?
