Yup, it is to reduce backlog and to improve processing time. If they take a long time to issue an AOR, then they will have more applications than they initially intended to process. Plus they would like fewer applications to process next year when the new immigration system kicks in.

Hopefully this trend continues till October 2014!

Does anyone know the details about the "new" immigration system? Will there be such a thing next year...?

Will they ask us to submit RCMP ?? Today nearly 3 ppl got RCMP request how long does it take to receive the RCMP certificate?? any idea

It usually takes two weeks if you do online finger prints

RCMP request?? Does everyone get these? We came from the UK in November 2012 (on temporary work permits) and I only got UK police certificates. Will we need to get RCMP/Canadian police certificates as well?

CIC don't usually ask everyone to do the RCMP, it is better for us to do RCMP just incase they ask and we have ready in our hands to send. The RCMP process hardly cost $40

Next activity is to apply PCC from BLS India. Anyone knows what is the processing time ?

I got it in 4 days. It is very arbitrary as far as I know. Good luck.
