So I believe until you complete Landing Procedures ,You can't work . You can have your new SIN and other stuffs once you complete your landing,

So you mean the passport with stamp they will send me back will not be enough for me to start working legally?

Hi friends...congrats to all who received their RPRF and Passport request. I am getting worried as I still have not received RPRF request. :( I ordered GCMS notes last month after medicals, and the notes from VO was all good. RECOMMENDATION: Appears to meet requirements. The ecas status still shows "Application Received". Should I order another GCMS notes? Is it that CIC have already identified approved applications and sent out RPRF to those? My application includes my spouse who has recently moved in Canada (currently working here on OWP), could this be the reason for the delay in RPRF? Please advise. Thanks.

Hi even I am also having similar situation. Medicals were done 2 months back and still no status update or RPRF request. My GCMS notes ordered in Sept also shows Appears to meet requirements, is your VO with id PVO1609? I have ordered new set of GCMS notes and twice I have sent email with a copy of my Medicals.

Ask yourself a Question and you will get your answer :D

What is needed to do work (In your case not generically )- " Status as PR " and "SIN" , Am i right ?
When you will get SIN and Status , After Landing or Before Landing ?

I hope you got the Answer ;D

Hi Nitin,

Notes was updated last on Aug 22, 2014 by JBO1774, and it says medical initiated, awaiting results. Under Medical section, it shows Type: Medical, Status: Passed, Updated on: Sep 9, 2014. Does requesting GCMS notes slows down the process? When you expect to receive your new notes?

Thanks.

Based on this blogs comments I don't think ordering GCMS notes again delays process if it is e-records, Seniors can correct if I am wrong. I ordered GCMS notes again on 23 Oct so another 20 days I have to wait. As per my previous GCMS note my application was updated on 15th Aug with medicals request sent. I think we can only wait and pray. I have a planned holiday in Dec, want to get my PP stamped before that.

Well my SIN# till March 15 2014. It expired with my WP. In order to renew or get a new SIN# i need a new WP or PR. What I want to know is that what status i will gain with that stamp on the passport.

When did you got your RPRF request? What was your ECAS status until you receive your PPR?

I paid my fees upfront. My ECAS status changed to In process in October. I received PPR email on November 1. I checked ECAS this morning and my status was Decision Made.

Hi Djpolarbear

Well of course if your WP is expired , your SIN is tied to it will expire . If you got your COPR/Passport stamped back with you , go outside the country and complete Landing procedures which will make your status "PR"

Then you will be able to work and can get a New Permanent SIN.
