Mickey read Question 7 on this CIC page - Frequently Asked Questions for the Client Applicant Service

Basically the Sponsors portion of the application is completed. The application now has been changed to
the other persons name and a different client number.

I'm not clear from your note whether you did find the Sponsor's name in the system BEFORE you received SA. I would
expect that you did. But even if you didn't it's not a problem. You've passed, been approved as Sponsor as per your notification
I believe you received notification of Sponsor Approval by email did you? , or was in snail mail. Either way, the official notification is the only thing which counts, not the e-cas.

And the application can't be in two different stages at the same time and they don't keep sponsors in the system
when the process has moved to the Primary Applicant and the VO.

~ So your good news is: You are completely finished with Stage 1 - the Sponsorship Application ~

Oooooo that must feel nice. I'm waiting on the edge of my seat for my SA. ;D

I got AOR , SA. never find the sponsor's details on the E-cas system. Only it shows a hit for the applicant's info

Now this is interesting. It appears dina, that the paris vo is looking at your application. You might be finished soon and in record time!!

It seems strange however that it went to in process before your paris aor ... if it is in process you'll be done aoon. Are the dates correct?

I'm a February 2013 outland applicant. I'm sponsoring my wife from New Delhi VO. I just got my SA today from CIC.

“You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.”

Took exactly 28 days from AOR date to get the SA. Can you add me to the spreadsheet? Details are below:

Visa Office: New Delhi
Medicals Done: 12-Jan-2013
Application Sent: 25-Feb-2013
Date App CPC-M received as per tracking: 26-Feb-2013
# of Days Since App Recieved: 28
Stage 1 AOR: 6-Mar-2013
# of Days for AOR Since App Received: 8
Sponsorship Approval: 26-Mar-2013
# of Days for Sponsorship Approval: 28

yes, the dates are correct.

I have received the AOR on 23rd (Saturday). But now I see in ECAS that they have started processing already on 22nd (Friday).
Maybe ECAS is not that reliable.

Maybe. If it is in process though it means they have opened your file and are assessing it. Maybe post a separate thread to ask other members. It could be a glitch or it could be really good news!

That was fast. Thanks for the welcome, i'm super excited to get through Stage 1 so quick. Now looking forward to get through Stage 2 smoothly as well, hopefully shouldn't take too long.

Also with regards to Dina87's comment about E-cas, it really is NOT that reliable. For me, it still shows "Application Received" even though I cleared SA today, so I wouldn't depend on it too much. Watch your email/contact address.

I'll keep you guys posted on any developments.

Hi All,

So herez a question... No 1). Now that I got my SA I want to apply for a TRV however when I look at the spreadsheet, it looks like the passport is requested by the visa office 15-20 days after the SA is received. So even if I apply for my TRV now and get it (by chance) I can only stay for 15 days???
Question No 2) If there is a change in the sponsors circumstance like say new job or lay off will it affect the TRV?? Do I have to mention that in the invitation letter at all??? Please answer.. :-X

You have to submit the updated CENOMAR(which is called Advisory on marriage)which states that you guys are married to each other. I also thought the same thing, but after re-reading the requirements+guidelines in applying, i finally realized that they needed a proof that our marriage is genuine. The same reason they asked for pictures, marriage certificates, phone bills etc.

And oh, I am also a February 2013 Outland Applicant and here is my timeline.
Visa Office: Manila
Med's done: Dec 7, 2012
App Filed: Feb 1,2013
App received(unofficial,based on Canada post): Feb 4,2013.

Hi I'm a new member here, I wanna ask help form all of you who had submitted their application as to the labeling of the pictures whether I should do it in front or at the back, as to the medical on the details of what are included in the medical and do we need to provide the form for medical and also on the leagl documents, do we need to send all the originals or just certified copies of all?
