Yes we moved back November 26th permanently.

I'm not sure if you know much about India, and though I love the country because it is the home of my husband, in-laws and birthplace of my son, (our daughter was born in Canada) but you have to REALLY love someone to live there for almost 5 years! LOL. Power cuts, corruption, expensive schooling for kids (for the good schools), pollution,... It was not an easy 4 years, but I did it because I loved my husband and wanted him only to immigrate when he was ready. India is a fantastic country full of culture and beauty , but living there was a challenge, especially when you're used to the comforts and ease of Canada.
I just hope the immigration officers think the same thing. LOL

Definately will! Fear not skas. You have a safe sounding and straightforward application!

I'm thinking of hitting india up next year for a month! Probably great to visit but yeah I can imagine living there hard if you're not from there!

Do it!! You just have to choose what part to do. The north and the south are very different, though both have their plus points and negative points. I backpacked through the south for 2 months in November and December 2007, before I eventually moved there. Loved it!

Good news for February applicants - CIC website has been updated, and they are processing applications sent on the 29th of January! processing time is 21 days! impressive - they went from last week processing end of November to now processing end of January!
If they continue like this they might process applications as they come in - looks good for everybody in February!

Hi all

I feel a little jealous (but only in good sense of the meaning) as my apps are lost somewhere between Greece and Canada in some Post office container and I cannot take part in expressing my happiness too!
I am very glad for you all that have received confirmations of your packages through the Post and the ones who got your AOR's. I pray to God that you all receive your first stage approvals and be on your ways to VO in no time at all!
I spend my days reading your posts and I know that soon any moment now i will be announcing the arrival of my package to Mississauga!
But of course its not all that bad for us! In the last week my spouse and I were happily surprised to know that we are going to have a baby, I will be a daddy at 57. isn't life sweet?

I hope for everyone to have more good news before the day's end

Cheers
messenger and spouse

I'm still hoping for your package to arrive, messenger. Don't worry, everything will be worth the wait and patience.

CONGRATULATIONS on your new baby. :) I bet you are more excited to see the baby than to wait for your wife's PR.
Blessings to you and your spouse :)

I know it must be difficult waiting for it to arrive and not knowing. But soon you will! This process is almost designed to be a bureaucratic nightmare but im sure it'll all work out! Soon Messenger, soon!

And sweet news on the baby dude! :D

Thank you all for your wishes. It's still early and hope to finish up and have the baby in Canada

I wish the good news to run endlessly for everyone here

Cheers to all
