Hello po..anyone knows po if gaano katagal to DM after re-medical? my husband's medical expired December 2013 then extended Feb. 2014 then na expired na naman..Medical ulit..walang katapusan na itong pag-aantay..

nag e-mail ang CEM sa husband ko na need na nya magpa medical ulit. Halos sabay lang pala tayo timeline Feb din kmi nag pass application..sobrang depress na ako

buti pa kayo nakatanggap ng email mula CEM...ako walang wala...expired na meds ko since dec. 2013...hindi ko na nga alam gagawin ko dito sa kakaisip...kahit notice man lang sa CEM na we need to do another set of medicals or kahit ano pa kailan nila ....

Hi Zardoz, Hope you are well!

Well finally Vienna broke it's vow of silence at the end of January 2014 and it started communicating with all of us its applicants.
They requested some additional docs (birth certs for the baby and some others) and we are sending these to them hopefully by next week.
I want to believe that they will get back to us 1-2 months after they receive them!!!!! I HOPE!!!!

How is life treating you in Canada. It was a heavy winter you guys experienced this year. Which province are you at?

We are still in the UK at the moment, trying to sell the house. As soon as our buyer has a buyer for her place, we are all set to move permanently. Toronto was a little "nippy" this year... Glad we spent this winter here instead, albeit with lots of rain.

Glad things are finally moving... Here's hoping...

Hi Tom,
Thats great news that finally your visa office (vienna) "broke the silence" and they are working on your files. Very soon you will be getting done with the whole process and say bye to the nagging waiting.
I too finally did & passed my interview on 20th February & VO took my passport to process the visa. But he told me that my medical need to be reviewed, so i hope they can extend it since it expired early Feb. Otherwise, i pray that i get my passport with visa soon. I wonder how long this will take.
We are almost done, Good luck to us all.

Really happy for your progress. I know that interview can be very demanding on the nerves but as long as it was finished just put it behind you! Lets hope that they soon return your PP so you can be on your way to the new life!
As for us I hope I get all my requested docs by early next week and mail them off to Vienna and who knows maybe by mid spirng we too can taste the sweet taste of the COPR

That's great news Tom! I hope it will only be a matter of weeks now! I'm getting settled in, brought my car from US and have to get it "Canadianized" and still have to get my driver's license here. So much still to do yet, and I am so enjoying being here with my hubby. I know you will enjoy it too, the winter has been a long cold one, but it's wonderful.

Hi All,

I finally got the email that my PR has been approved. Several questions

1) I'm British so it should be ok to send just copies of my passport pages to CIC LA? or should it be my passport itself?

2) How long does this process take in peoples experiences to receive further instructions?

3) I was told that once i've landed, that you cannot travel outside outside of Canada until you get your PR card (surely this was an old wives tale?)
I have several family and work trips scheduled now that i will be receiving my PR but waiting for the PR card could take 8 weeks which actually means I cannot travel on the family/work trips

Can someone help clarify?
