i thought the police clearance was good for a year once you submitted it?

So did I but apparently not! I've emailed them saying I provided the original certificate when I first applied (Mississauga) but they haven't replied to any of my emails... So frustrating! :'(

I have no idea!! Im pretty sure it would take a day or two if the case officer cared enough, but I bet they put my file back on the pile with the other applications and get back to it months later... Would it be possible to order it myself??

I would think you can order one (at least in my country you can)?!? How did you submit one with your original application? Did you order one then?

I am a Canadian sponsoring my common law American boyfriend (currently living in Canada with me)
We sent our application to CPP-O on February 14th, 2013
Our application was received at the CPP-O on February 18th, 2013
Sponsorship approval received on March 25th, 2013
Medical results were received (we sent them in October 2012 - I don't remember the day )

I don't know what AOR is... I sen't them a fax on July 25th requesting the addition of my e-mail to the application. They replied on July 29th by e-mail saying that our file is in queue for review by an officer and it should be examined within the next 1-2 months.

Waiting patiently for the passport request!! We can't wait!

You are saying you are Colombian but you have applied through a European VO. Was that because you reside in Europe?
Are you in a Refugee status somewhere? PIF ?? Have you applied under Family Sponsorship?

Please explain to the members here some things about your situation so we know how to assist you better.

Sorry about that and Yes, I am Colombian (I had applied for the Canadian refugee system from 2007 until 2011, but it was rejected). I am a PR from one of the EU. My wife is the sponsor, she is Canadian and EU citizen. We applied under Spousal Sponsorship.

Your application seems to be in process through the VO (Embassy) and they need this document (most likely it's your rejection) but I cannot be sure as all of us here are strictly family sponsorship applicant (like you are now), but without any history of refugee claims.
Try to post your message in the main thread of Family Sponsorship as there would be members with similar experiences and I am sure you can get your answers. If you don't have any answers soon, which I am sure you will try to send a PM to user Sweden or user Leon. They are both very experienced in different matters.
Come back to this thread and give us all the following info if you are a February 2013 applicant so we can add you in our spreadsheet.

Great for you amigo.

Cali is a place where lots of my Colombian friends are from but no I haven't been there.
We Greeks we can say if the food is good when we go to other countries. And I can say that Colombian food is extra ordinary. I always had Empanadas every where I went.
But to the best thing I have experienced in my life was Andres Carne De Res in Chia just outside Bogoda. Nothing in the world compares to this food experience and not only. This place blows your mind and your senses.

My wife and I have been living together at her parent's residence in Chania, Greece, for the last year and half. Though we have not had much luck as far as jobs go, my wife and I have been enjoying our stay and "laughing" tell people that we are on a really long-long honeymoon.

Food here in Greece is amazing too (Like Soupia or Greek Pancettas). I love it..!! ;D

Good for you my friend. As for the long honeymoon eventually it will lead to your life in Canada with work and dignity!
I live in Thessaloniki (I am sure you are familiar with Greece by now)

We are with Vienna though because my wife is from the Former Yugoslavia and we are expecting our baby in September. Hopefully we too coing to get some news soon from Vienna so we can move along!

Absolutely Tom, I know where Thessaloniki is located. But I never been there. My wife and I went this year to Athens and the surrounding areas, like Δελφοί, Galaxidi, Glifada, Korinthos, etc.

We hope to receive some good positive news soon.
