I checked ecas - DECISION MADE!!!

"We sent you a letter on May 16, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. "

I can't believe they didn't just EMAIL us - now we are both dying waiting for the letter to arrive!! We are so worried about getting denied even though it is rare. (Letting first PR expire, me living outside of Canada when we applied)

I went to "check application status" on the CIC website and logged in with the UCI number I got in the AOR email.

congraaaaaaaats canadiangirl i'm very happy for u!!!!!! finally ur turn came also don't worry it's definately good news u have ties with canada (ur family and more) and probably letting the pr expiry first time around was beyond ur control....u can also try to call tomorrow maybe a nice agent will tell u the decision over the phone for ur peace of mind

(just something to add: did u check the withdraw box in the sponsor form in case the sponsor gets denied? if yes and ur application was forwarded to the VO then it means u were approved u can see if the app is at the VO using ur hubby's login details)

Yes I did choose withdraw! But even if they denied and withdrew wouldn't they still say decision made?

Edit: oops I misunderstood. My husbands login says the same thing it has since before decision made which is application received feb 21.

You get a letter or an email. Ecas specifically says a letter was mailed.

This is what mine said ''We sent you a letter on May 17, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us''

Was yours done in ottawa or miss?

Maybe the email is delayed? I have heard of that happening. Or maybe they really are sending you a letter, I'm not sure. Just wanted to let you know the whole 'we sent you a letter' seems the generic response, even if they sent you an email, just so you don't go crazy checking your postbox everyday!

On the email it says it was processed in Ottawa.

Im planning to travel to Canada somewhere in July..Anybody interested to travel together?
