Well at least you know something is happening with your file! that is a good sign at least....have to stay positive!

Yes, I agree. However this brings up a concern. Since I lived among Filipinos, they can take their job sloppily during festivities. I am concerned little care may be taken with important documents such as a VISA if it is issued during holiday times (months of December and January).

So, I don't want the courier to lose it.
And, I don't want it to end up, somehow, in India. Just throwing it out there, apparently, surprises exist.

apparently with your application.....anything that can go wrong will! LOL just trying to find some humor! Stay positive everything will work out for the best!

Hey guys!! Our PPR came in today!!! I had sent an e-mail about the fact that my husbands medical would be a year old on the 16th and our PPR was the reply back! So here is the wording from the e-mail.

REQUEST FOR DOCUMENTS AND PASSPORT COPIES

Dear B:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a member of the family class. We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. While an interview does not appear necessary at this time, we reserve the right to call you to an interview, should this become necessary at some future stage in processing.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE PROCEEDING FURTHER. YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE FINALIZED BY THE CASE PROCESSING PILOT – OTTAWA (“CPP-O”).

In order to continue processing your application, the following is required:

Ø Evidence that your sponsor resides or will reside in Canada. This includes but is not limited to: pay stubs, T4 slips, utility bills, and banking history. Drivers licences, Property tax assessments, Social Insurance or Health Insurance cards are not sufficient for yourself This must be received at this office by: 02/12/2013
Ø COPY OR SCANNED IMAGE of your passport and passports of your accompanying family members, as noted below.

So for the "evidence that your sponsor resides or will reside in Canada" I sent in a letter from my dad saying that we could live with him and work for his company with my sponsorship application so should I'm getting my dad to write out another letter saying that his offer still stands... Do you think that will work? Thanks all!!!

Yep that sounds good, even a utility bill or something it looks like they just want something with your name and address to verify that is all........Congrats!!!!!! woohoo that is great news

Send as much info as possible to prove that you are moving to the US with your spouse. Sometimes this issue can hold things up. Congrats on your PPR!

I hope I am not late joining you all here.

I sent in my inland application in Feb 2012, and the Vergille Office received it on 27 Feb2012.

They asked me to send in suppl. proof regarding my relationship with my husband, and we did send in everything we hv in Nov 2012.

He got confirmation of his role as sponsor, and i got a letter saying i meet the requirements for application of PR. But they said before they check all security, medical backgrounds of all my family members in home country, they wont make the decision....

I got my Open Work Permit on 6 Dec 2012.

Has anyone got similar timeline?:)

oh man I am still here with ya, soldiering on! :)

This is taking forever i miss my hubby, i have all my famly here in Canada , my job is here , but honestly i am starting to loose my patients, until whemn, we had interveiw , he passed, they asekd for one paper to be sent , we sent that paper 2 weeks ago, what else do they need, why is taking forver to answer, why they dotn undertsand how we are feling, why tey dont finish with the files, from begginign of the year we send , and not to finish the file which they applied from september and they are done .

Yes I understand missing your husband, this process is really hard but you have to persevere! I applied in February and haven't heard not a darn thing from the VO, not even an AOR from them....if I hadn't ordered my GCMS notes then I wouldn't even know it was down there. The people who get through earlier, they have a simple application, whereas yours must have had some glitches in it and they have to work on them but believe me they have to finish sometime soon. Have your ordered your notes or contacted your MP yet?
