Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Due to automation of the mailing process, tentatively scheduled for January 12, 2015, the FBI will no longer provide Identity History Summary results on blue security paper. All responses will be processed on standard white paper.

I wonder how CIC is going to react to this change?

Will they now maybe consider the use of an approved Channeler?

I doubt they will allow chanellers. I also think this move by the FBI will actually delay CIC processing because now they will do more security verification requests to FBI to confirm results. Before with the security paper they knew clearance check was legitimate right away simply by checking the blue paper.

Sadly...I would tend to agree with you.

Perhaps the new letters will have some other security feature that will pacify CIC.

FML, you serious when i got my last April it was on blue paper, now that i have resubmitted a new request they are going to the white paper, the good ole u.s govt. lool.

Yeah, this change will undoubtedly not sit well with CIC...unless there is a replacement security feature on the standard white paper.

Will this affect the finger prints if they were sent on before January but have not yet recieved them?

It all depends on when you sent them in. The FBI will not charge your credit card until they are ready to process your request, so if your card has not yet been charged...and since is after Jan 12, 2015...I'd say you may get the standard white paper version.

We didn't pay with a credit card. We paid with a money order and sent them in November 24th. When my husband called yesterday the man said they are currently working on ones recieved October 27th

i snet them on nov 25 .it it too much delay.

I sent mine on November 10th. I hope this means I'll be getting the letter in a few more weeks. I called 3 weeks ago and they wouldn't tell me anything, just to call back in 20 days. :p

I came across this today. Does that mean they are currently accepting the report from channelers/third party?
There are two options:

Option 1: You must fill out the applicant information form and obtain a set of your fingerprints.

Option 2: You may submit the application to an FBI-approved channeler; a private company contracted to provide the certificate on behalf of the FBI. Processing times may vary. Please check the FBI website for a list of approved channelers.

Should we get one through a channeller even though we are waiting for them from the FBI since they won't be printed on the blue paper?

CIC does not require the FBI clearance upfront so i would advise that you just wait for the one you have already applied for. You can just send it to CIC separate whenever you get it.

Also note that the channellers will only be allowed to process clearances fo US citizens or permanent residents
