Hi guys! ask lng po regrding my FBI clearance sana.... ngbgay ang canadian embassy ng deadline s pgpasa ko ng papers, pero ang problema, ang tagal ng FBI clearance ko, 4 weeks and still counting... anu po dpat sbhn s canadian embassy? is it ok to write a letter n ngssbing hnhntay ko pa ang FBI clearance ko? help please.. thanks s mga mgrereply... ^_^

sorry guys! this post is for my FBI clearance, i already send d fingerprints they need. am still waiting (4weeks and still counting)... the canadia embassy gave me a may16 deadline for the clearance of my fbi... what should i do? should i wrote a letter to the embassy with regards to my fbi clearance? help please... thanks... ^_^
 
How did you submit your fingerprints for FBI clearance? I want this to be speedy!

Was it online? Did you have to mail in your fingerprinting card even though you paid online.

I have not submitted my police clearance for the U.S but I have sent in my CIC application since January. I do think I can submit this at a later date. Right? I wouldn't want this to be the hold up of my PR application.

Would love feedback from you?
 
You were supposed to include police certificates for ALL countries you have resided in for more than 6 months with your application.

It takes about 8-10 weeks to obtain the FBI report, I suggest you begin the process so that when POS asks for it, you have one available. You have to mail the fingerprint card along with either a valid credit card number for them to charge it, or a bank draft.
 
Yes....I read that on the website. Isn't that the long way? Or the only way?

I wanted to submit mines electronically!
 
The FBI does not accept electronic submissions, so it's the only way.

Just got my wife's. Took almost exactly 8 weeks.
 
Has anyone used the credit card payment form when submitting the application? If so, was your card charge soon after they received the form, or closer to the time you received the reply?

I got mine back in 7 weeks exactly, it was mailed directly to my husband in Canada.

I paid with a bank draft, not sure how the timing works with a credit card payment, sorry.
 
That's ok! I plan on using a credit card though. Hopefully, it's the same!
 
This is week 4 for me. Unfortunately, I get an email from my credit card every time I use it, so every time an email comes through my phone, my heart stops...still waiting!

I'm sure they will charge your card as they process your FBI clearance. Just be patient.

I plan on getting my fingerprints done on Wednesday so that I can add to my application that is being processed in POS. I do plan on including a cover letter with my file number, receipt number so that it can be added to my file.
