Hey everyone, I'm new here! I'm newly married to my now Canadian husband :)

Anyways, back to the topic, I was wondering how would I do an FBI clearance in Edmonton? Also, I've been in Canada as a visitor since July - present and I was wondering if I needed a clearance for Canada. I forgot to add, I am intending on applying outland.

Thanks!

No - you don't need to obtain a police clearance from Canada.

Instructions on how to obtain the FBI clearance can be found here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp

If I don't have to get an FBI clearance for Canada, should I change my current residence address to the States?

I'm not sure I understand your question...

You don't need to obtain a Canadian police clearance for the time you spent in Canada.

You do, however, need to obtain an FBI clearance for the time you spent in the US. It doesn't matter if you have a US or Canadian address right now - and you can request the US FBI clearance while living in Canada.

It doesn't matter. CIC doesn't seem to be too strict on Americans in this area.

I apply with everything in my Calgary address. Just make sure to refer to yourself as "visiting" and not "living" in Canada. The only difference, is for my FBI clearance, I had it mailed in "Care of" my husband.
