FBI Clearance from USA

Hi All,

I have applied for FBI clearance certificate on 15 Mar 2014. I have checked with my bank about whether the $USD 18.00 has been negotiated but no luck. Did anyone knows how long does it take them to process it? Will they cash the draft after they process the application?

Mine took about 40 days (including shipping) last year. Applied for another one Feb end (just in case).. Expecting it anyday. Shall let you know how many days it took for 2nd one.

Thank you. I have applied two weeks ago but not sure whether It has reached or not.Is there a way I can contact them to check it reached?

I had mailed it in States with tracking option.. Plus they charged my credit card mid march. As long as they charged your card, you should be fine..

I have sent the draft. I guess I need to check draft status sometime next week with the bank. Anyways, thank for the quick response ST2014.

Just noticed, you sent a draft with your request. Not familiar with that mode of payment. Some senior members might have a suggestion..

Thanks. I have sent an email to them too. I have sent my application without tracking (my mistake) now I am not able to track it . I will wait for another week and check my Bank Draft status.

Thank you very much for the quick response. Just to understand how much time they take to deduct the money, when your application reached them? You said your card was charged on 15th.

I just double checked. I think I posted my request (went across the border to mail) on Feb 27th with tracking. My card was charged on March 11th (so about two weeks)..

Guys..I sent my package on March 4th. My Credit card was charged on March 25th about $20.87! So, how many days will they take to send the certificate from the time of charging processing fee??? this is the one last thing to complete my PR process...eagerly waiting!!

You should get it Mid April latest. Seems like they charge credit card at any time. No specific timeline.. Will let you know when i receive mine.

They send the FBI background check report via First Class mail. it takes minimum one week to reach toronto from west virginia
