Hi All,

I got PR in 2010 and now applying for my mother's PR. My dad died in 1992

Name of my father is different on my & mother's passport

On My Passport : AB Singh XXX

Mother;s passport : AB Singh

On my 10th certificate it was AB Singh XXX and thats why on passport its AB Singh XXX but on my dad's death certificate or other docuement its AB Singh

Will there be any problem if I kept AB Singh on my mom's PR application?

hi,

to my understanding, your mom should apply a new passport or if its new she has to get it fix like change it into maiden name again..since she is widowed already. or just call cic just to make sure if does matter using your father's surname on your mother's application ..its just my opinion

It should be OK the way it is. You can attach a note explaining the situation to the application. The visa officers in India should be used to this 'problem' and won't find it unusual.
