My sister got pregnant and was engaged to a Canadian man. She returned to Hong Kong and was preparing for the wedding and paid deposit for the banquet but the groom never showed up. She had a son in Hong Kong but was not allowed to add the Canadian father's name on the birth certificate since they were not married. Her son is 4 yrs old now. This summer they both went to Toronto. The son got to meet his grandmother and uncle from the father's side (we recently found out the father is now married to someone else in Philippines), they loved him and wanted him to stay in Toronto, my sister also would like him to stay and study there.
Both my sister and her son are in Toronto now. She is trying to find a school for him, however, because the father's name was not on his birth certificate it is difficult to get him citizenship and schooling.
