Do you know if my father can be rejected if he's got diabetes? He doesn't take insulin, he regulates his blood sugar with healthy diet. I want to sponsor both my father and mother

Won't be rejected. Only communicable disease like TB.
Wrong, parents can be rejected due to excessive demand if their condition will cost more than $6500 per year on health or social services.

However I'm not sure how Diabetes is viewed by CIC. OP should submit doctors or other notes that show he is not taking medication and has the condition under control with no medical costs.

Agreed with the above. Parents can certainly be rejected for non-communicable diseases (and if one parent is rejected both will be automatically). However this sounds like a mild case of type 2 and it shouldn't be an issue.

We've seen cases here where a parent has been refused who has advanced diabetes (i.e. is on dialysis) and has significant kidney damage.

Thank you all

His blood sugar was the highest but since he's started dieting his symptoms disappeared.

He'll be fine. Don't worry.

Kidney failure is a different aspect. A normal diabetic patient even if takes insulin with a normal medical result should be okey as far as immigration acceptability is concerned.
