Fastest way to bring back child born abroad to canada

Hello I am a Canadian born citizen. I applied for my wifes spousal ppr outland back in may 2021, due to the delay our first born will be born in a couple days in my wifes home country. Background check finished today for her ppr and only thing we are waiting on now is dm and passport request. I would like to travel back to canada with my family as soon as possible but with our child being born aboard I dont want another long delay. Any advice on what would be the fastest way to get my child to canada with us.

Temp passport since your child is Canadian citizen by birth.

Would contact the Embassy before the birth to determine what type of information/documents will be required to obtain a a Canadian temporary passport. Your child wil first need a birth certificate from the country where they are born.
