Hi there,
I'm graduated and employed in Canada as a software engineer at Microsoft and last December I applied for a Travel Visa for my stepfather and my stepsister.
Today I got rejection letter for both mentioning the following:-
- I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
-> For financial documents, the application required that I submit my letter of employment since I'm inviting them and my salary in the letter exceeds 100k CAD a year, not sure how much more I need. In addition, I also attached his bank statement, monthly salary + my mother's assets in the bank that exceeds 300k CAD. What went wrong here?
- I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence
-> This I don't understand. I thought it gets easier for a person to get a visa when he has family ties in Canada. And the visa application is simply me inviting them to visit Canada so there must be family tie. Also his letter of employment states very clearly that he is a judge and he is still working so he must be returning anyway. What went wrong here?
- I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
-> Unfortunately, in his current passport and in the past 10 years, there is no travel history for him. How can we fix that?
Important questions:
- Since the application was about visiting family member/relatives, I submitted my work employment letter that mentions my yearly income exceeding 100k CAD, does it play against them if I also attach their income in their country? Cause I can't believe they rejected it for insufficient funds when they are only coming for 10 days, 2 members, and I already have everything (Apartment, income, car etc)..
- My other step sister is applying for her Study Permit soon, now I'm afraid that she gets rejected too. When she applies, does she need to only submit her father and mother bank statements? Or she can also include my letter of employment in Canada mentioning that since I'm her step brother I'll also be responsible financially of her? I just wanna be super careful in this application in particular and I don't know mentioning about me taking care of her expenses can be something against her...
Thanks a lot
