If the Canadian embassy rejects a TRV application due to Family ties in country of residence...what does it mean

does it mean valuable assets, properties, investments that i / family have or
does it mean prooving to the embassy that i have a strong family in my country?

pls reply
Thanks in advance!

It means they have to see solid evidence of reasons why YOU would be drawn back to your home country. Has to be YOUR job/education, YOUR property/investments, YOUR wife/children/family.

Hi,
On that note, I have my parents, 3 brothers and one sister. Several aunts, uncles and cousins. I have also a niece and a nephew living in the states. Should that suffice? I don't own property but I have a job.

We were denied and one of the reasons was family ties. My SO had his 3 children, parents, siblings, cousins etc etc ALL his family except one uncle in his country of residence plus 2 properties plus one house and they still marked that as a reason and stated he didn't have enough assets.. I'm not sure what this means.

They are looking for solid reasons why you would return home. Is the job you are doing of significant importance/pay to show that you are well employed in your home country? Have you a travel history which indicates that not only do you go away and RETURN home, but also that you are financially established enough to afford to do so. Sadly, it seems no matter what you give them they can turn it around (a house/property/car you can walk away from; money in the bank you can transfer; friends/family you can leave behind/skype).

It seems that I'd be fine but as you said, they could easily turn it should they desire to. All I have is my evidence : my job, my family, my money. Plus my several stays ( a couple weeks at a time) where I returned home. All I can do is cross my fingers I guess. :-[
