Hi everyone,
Good day. I would like to inquire with regards to Family Sponsorship. My wife's sister passed away recently and her sister has a pending Family Spnsorship application. The sponsor(deceased) passed away here in Alberta Canada. What will happen with Application? What we will do to in order not to cancel the application?

The situatio isn't quite clear.

Your sister-in-law sponsored someone through Family Sponsorship, correct? Who was it? Her spouse? Her parents?

What stage was the application in? Generally speaking, this would cancel the application.

Yes the sister of my wife process Family Sponaorship of her spouse and dependent children. Is there a way we can request IRCC not to cancel the application? Any suggestion on what to do?

What is the stage of the application?

Still in process stage. It was sent last September 2020.

The application has to have a sponsor. If the sponsor passes away, this unfortunately means there is no sponsor and the application should be refused. I don't know of any way to ask IRCC not to cancel the application.

Are the spouse and dependent children in Canada by any chance? If so, then assuming the spousal sponsorship application is refused, they could try applying for PR under H&C.

Sorry for your loss.
