Hello, I am new here. I am a Canadian citizen by birth residing in Slovenia since I was three years old, also a Slovenian citizen. I would like to move to Canada with my wife and two kids (5 and 2 yrs old). My kids were born in Slovenia as my wife did. I know the kids are also Canadian citizens but didn't apply for their Citizenship Certificate, it takes from 8 to 10 months. We are in a hurry, and it takes to long, so I am sponsoring them beacuse it will go faster and while we send the application I'll apply in Canada for their's Citizenship certificate. I have a flight to Canada in December as I start to work in January 2015. The family will wait for me until the application is approved.

I have a few questions regarding paying the fees.
On Vienna web site there are the fees to pay. So if I calculate the fees:
Principal Applicant 385EUR which is 550CAD dollars
Dependant under 22 yrs 105EUR / 150CAD 2x
RPRF - Principal Applicant 340EUR / 490CAD
I pay all for this on Bank Austria - Member of UniCredit: IBAN: AT40 1200 0506 7046 9901 SWIFT: BKAU ATWW
If I calculate the fees there is amount of 935EUR/1340CAD I have to pay in EUR. Am I correct?

My question is about fee as a sponsor there is nothing mentioned about hat on Vienna web site. I'm confused, do I have to pay 3x 75CAN and where to? Vienna or Mississauga?

How many forms of IMM1344 do I have to fill? Only as a sponsor and my wife, or two more for the kids?

In my Family name we have a letter that is not in english alphabet it is a letter Z with a thing on a top (Ž). In my Canadian passport I have a letter Z. What should we write? In some forms in PDF you can't print the form if you put a Slovenian letter Ž. Should we put the letter Z and then write the thing on the top by hand? It would be odd if I would write for my wife with a letter Ž and mine under Z.

We really need help please, thank you

I think, you can not sponsor your kids, because they are Canadian by decent. Apply for their Citizenship certificates and Sponsorship of your wife at the same time. The procedure of citizen certificates is quicker then Sponsoship- especiallyVienna VO.

Thank you Vania for the information it was very helpful. :) ;) We will apply for Citizenship certificate along with the sponsorship for my wife. But if my wife gets approved before the kids get Citizeship certificates, we will travel to Canada anyways. The kids have Slovenian passports so they can go to Canada for at least 6 months, Am I correct? I'll try to get the embassy in Hungary or consulate in Ljubljana to send the CC to address in Canada. I hope I can get that. I'll have to wait till Monday. As I posted my first post I'll go back to Canada in December but my wife and kids stays in Slovenia, but when my wife gets approved I'm going to get them. This forum is very helpful, I found out a lot of things I didn't know, but it takes a lot of time that you find the right ones.

Thank you again Vania :)

As said above, you CANNOT sponsor your children because they are already Canadian. Don't include them as dependents in your wife's application, as that will end up causing her app to be delayed while CIC sorts out the mistake. The children only need to be listed in IMM5406 and IMM5481. Also, send the kids' apps SEPARATELY. Don't include them with your wife's sponsorship app. They must go to different offices.

The children will have no issues entering on their Slovenian passports. You don't need to bother worrying about the 6 month limit for them.

The fees to pay are:

Sponsorship application $75
Principal applicant fee $475
Right of Permanent Residence Fee $490

Total $1040

Right. If you can wait till December, you can send the application of your kids by yourself in Canada. the address is on the CIC site.
My kid get his Citizenship after six months. And I`m sorry to say, but Vienna VO is the slowest in Europe along with mine.

About the Z, just put everywhere the letter Z.
Good luck

Thank you canuck_in_uk and vania, with my wife we were very happy of your answers :). We feel kind of relief now, that I hope we won't mess up with the app. I will apply for CC for my kids in Canada and in Vienna for my wife.
Thank you :)
