im afghan living in pakistan.
me and my family are sponsored by relative for permanent residence of canada, our application was submitted on 2010 to Canadian high commission in Islamabad, pakistan.
my brother got married about one month before interview, so his wife was not added in the initial application, we had our interview on march 2015, we passed the interview and we had our medical examination at IOM Islamabad, the embassy instructed us to ask to our sponsor in canada to add the new member of family to the sponsor, we used to receive calls from Canadian embassy in pakistan telling us to ask our sponsor contact cic in canada & add the new family member, it took about a year & half until they added the new member and all the documentation/forms required are done, so today i received a call from the embassy to send them 6 photos of each family member, with the permanent residents photograph specification, did anyone experience such process or any idea how much more time will it take until police clearance and issuance of VISA/PR/Travel document, what are these photos needed for? im worried about how long do we have to wait or how to know which step our application is in right now?... at on-line services our application status is (IN PROCESS) and final step added is (MEDICAL RECEIVED) for about a year and half, not changed.
