Hello everyone. My sister is now living and working in Sasketchewan and she recently got her PR. I'm her brother and she's planning to get me through the SINP Family Referral Program. What should be the procedure and how long will it take? Also is it easier if I'm single? Actually my girlfriend and I were planning to get married but my sister told me to stay single during the course of the procedure. Does it really matter if im single or married. Would it be more difficult if i got married once she start processing my papers? By the way im already 34 years old. Please need some serious advices and suggestions. Thanks. :)

The best thing you can do is go to the website and read about your case as much as possible....educate yourself on the procedure, then come back here and more will make sense to you.

You will need a job offer to qualify. See:

If you and your girlfriend are living together, and have already lived together for one year, or will have by the time you get the PR visa, you will not be considered to be single. You will be considered common-law, and will have to declare yourself as such on the forms.
Getting married after your sister has sent in the forms is the worst time. Get married after you get the PR visa, and you can then sponsor your wife. Or get married before you apply and include her.
