Family member arriving late

Hello there,

We are in the final steps of the immigration process, however my wife's son asked to stay in our country to celebrate his birthday with his biological father while the rest of the family (my wife, myself + my 3 kids) will immigrate as soon as the paperwork is finished.

We are expecting to fly in April while the kid will do it in July.

Should I inform this scenario before we fly? I was not able to find any info about it across the web. Do you see a potential issue in here?

There's nothing you need to do as long as your wife's son lands before the expiry date on his COPR.
