Hi,

I'm not too sure how to use this forum so forgive me if it's in the wrong place!!

Basically, my father, stepmother and half sisters moved to Canada from the UK, 3 years ago..
Me and my partner would love to move over to Canada but have no idea how to go about it. I believe my dad can sponser us to go over, is this correct?

or any other help on how to move!! the only problem being i'm 19 so not much work experience, only 3 years on a bar and restaurant and my partner is 23 and manager of a pub/hotel..

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Unfortunately your father can't sponsor you. You will have to qualify to immigrate independently. See the following web site for information on the various immigration programs available.

No, you're over 18 and not a dependant. If you were eligible to be sponsored, they should have done it when they moved.

You can check into getting an IEC visa for next year (I believe they are full this year). You should review the PNP and CEC definitions for PR, because you're going to have to qualify for PR on your own. CEC (Canadian Experience Class) and PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) are you best bets.
