Hello members, I’m looking for some guidance around attending the oath ceremony. We applied together as a family in January and our AOR is Feb-6. Background cleared in February, Test was marked as completed on Mar-25 and waiting for LPP since then. My spouse and kid needs to travel outside Canada for a few weeks after Canada Day. At this point, it seems there is not enough time for them to get the Canadian passport before travel. However, I will be here and do not want to reschedule the Oath ceremony if it happens to fall during their travel as I need to travel to the US in September assuming the Oath is done by then. Is there an option for them to reschedule their oath ceremony while I attend it as scheduled or should all of us attend it or reschedule it together?

If the kids are below 14, they don't need to attend the ceremony. Just be there yourself and you and the kids will become Canadians. Your wife will then be invited to a new ceremony, which she better not miss, as she only has 2 chances, and be ready to be patient, a reschedule may take months.

Got it, Thank you very much. This is very helpful.

Is it normal to receive an oath ceremony invitation separately when applying as a group? My partner and I have had the same timeline up until completing the test. However, I’ve now received my oath invitation, while her tracker still shows LPP “in progress.”

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No, it's rare. To be honest, never saw a case where the family didn't explicitly ask to separate the applications.
You can call IRCC about it if you want, but in all cases, don't skip your ceremony unless you're dead set on going with your wife, and even then, tell IRCC in advance.
