Hi,

This forum is awesome. Thanks to everyone that contributes. I am a newbie PR (got PR in Oct 2015). I have been in Canada since Feb 2013 and I plan to apply for FC sponsorship for my parents in 2016 when the new quota opens. I have couple of questions. Can someone please help?

1) If I apply in Jan 2016, I will not have the NOA or T4 for 2015 (assuming I have to apply in first week of Jan 2p016). And given that I\ve been in Canada since Feb 2013, I will not have NOA or other proof for all of the preceding 3 years (i.e. I can produce for 2014 and 2013. I was not in Canada prior to that. And given I will be applying in early Jan 2016, I wont have the NOA for 2015 yet.). What are my options? Can I submit the 2015 NOA later once I get it?

2) My parents don't have a marriage certificate. Are there other options? I can produce my birth certificate, my passport that shows their name and their passports that shows their names as spouse. Will that work?

Appreciate your help !!

1) No - you can't submit the 2015 NOA later. You will have to wait until 2017 to apply.
2) Yes - you can use alternative documents to prove their relationship.
