false declaration on arrival about stay in canada

i lived only 1 year in canada in last 5 years.
what will happen if i make any false declaration at the time of landing ?
because i lost my previous passprt with visa and entry/exit stamps.
i have all afresh passport now.
if i declared to be in canada for 25, or 26 months. what will be the possible outcome.

If you make false declaration then your PR will be cancelled and you'll be debarred from entering Canada

yes agreed, that will be the consequence.
but it is largely believed that they dnt have ur exit record.

This is an incorrect belief. Immigration has access to airline manifests (i.e. airline passenger lists). My husband experienced this first hand. They knew about all of his flights into and out of Canada even though there were no exit stamps (and in some case no entry stamps) in his passport.

CIC may or may not check your records however they have access to data and if they choose to check your record then my friend you are doomed. I would reccomend not to go with false statements. You have not lived here for minimum residency obligation so whatever the outcome be for truthful statements pls accept it.

Dont even think about it pls. The very idea of false declaration is detrimental not only just to you but for whoever genuinely applies for citizenship resulting in Residency Questionaire eventually pushing the timelines for getting Citizenship...Pls do us a favor..Dont do this and discourage anyone intending to do this.
