Duration Of Contract

Job Description

3. The EMPLOYEE agrees to carry out the following tasks:

Construction Laborer

Laborers in this unit group perform some or all of the following duties:

∙ Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas

∙ Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites

∙ Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt

∙ Assist tradespersons such as carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers and glaziers in construction activities

∙ Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities

∙ Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel

∙ Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials ∙ Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
∙ Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed

∙ Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps ∙ Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials ∙ Oil and grease hoists and similar equipment

∙ Direct traffic at or near construction sites

∙ Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed

The EMPLOYEE shall work 40 hours per week. He shall be paid overtime for any hours of work exceeding 44 hours per week, or 8 hours per day.

4. The schedule will vary, day, afternoons, evenings, the Employee must be available for all days of the week, based on weekly schedules.

5. The EMPLOYEE shall be entitled to Days Off, Lunch & Breaks as per Alberta Employment Standards. 6. The EMPLOYEE shall be entitled to 6% vacation per Alberta Employment Standards.

7. The EMPLOYEE shall be entitled to 8 days of sick leave per year.

Wages and Deductions

8. The EMPLOYER agrees to pay The EMPLOYEE, for her work at the rate of $20.00/hour and time and a half after 44 hours per week or more than 8 hours per day. Any overtime will be paid out at a rate of $30.00 per hour. 9. The EMPLOYER agrees to remit all EMPLOYEE's income deductions to Canada Revenue Agency as prescribed by law (including, but not limited to Employment Insurance, Income Tax,and Canada Pension Plan . 10. The EMPLOYER shall not recoup from the EMPLOYEE, through payroll deductions or any other means, any costs incurred from recruiting the EMPLOYEE.

Reviewing Wages

11. If applicable, the EMPLOYER agrees to review and adjust (if necessary) the EMPLOYEE'S wages after 12 months of continuous employment, to ensure they meet the prevailing wage rate for the occupation in the region where the EMPLOYEE shall be employed.

Transportation Costs

12. The EMPLOYEE agrees to assume their own transportation costs to travel from his country of Residence to his new place of permanent residence and work in Canada.

Work Location

13. The EMPLOYEE will primarily perform their employment duties at: Suite 103, 206 Pembina Road (and various work sites within the region of Edmonton)

Accommodation

14. The EMPLOYER agrees to ensure and assist that reasonable and proper accommodation is available for the EMPLOYEE.

Hospital and Medical Care Insurance

15. The EMPLOYER agrees to provide health insurance at no cost to the foreign worker until such time as the worker is eligible for applicable provincial health insurance.

Workplace Safety Insurance (Worker's Compensation)

16. The EMPLOYER agrees to register The EMPLOYEE under the relevant provincial government insurance plan. The EMPLOYER agrees not to deduct money from The EMPLOYEE'S wages for this purpose.

Notice of Resignation

17. Should the EMPLOYEE wish to terminate the present contract, The EMPLOYEE agrees to give The EMPLOYER written notice thereof at least two weeks in advance.

Notice of Termination of Employment
18. The EMPLOYER must give written notice before terminating the contract of The EMPLOYEE if the EMPLOYEE has completed 3 months of uninterrupted service with the EMPLOYER and if the contract is not about to expire. This notice shall be provided at least two weeks in advance.

The Parties Agree as follows:

Duration Of Contract

1. This contract shall have duration of 24 months from May 30th, 2023 or the date The EMPLOYEE assumes his functions (the "TERM OF EMPLOYMENT").The place of employment will be Suite # 103, 206 Pembina Road , Sherwood Park , Alberta T8H 0L8 ( and various work sites within the region of Edmonton)

2. Both parties agree that this contract is conditional upon The EMPLOYEE obtaining a work permit pursuant to ESDC , and their successful entry to Canada with a valid work permit.














Job Description

3. The EMPLOYEE agrees to carry out the following tasks:

Construction Laborer

Laborers in this unit group perform some or all of the following duties:

∙ Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas

∙ Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites

∙ Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt

∙ Assist tradespersons such as carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers and glaziers in construction activities

∙ Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities

∙ Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel

∙ Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials ∙ Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
∙ Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed

∙ Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps ∙ Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials ∙ Oil and grease hoists and similar equipment

∙ Direct traffic at or near construction sites

∙ Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed

The EMPLOYEE shall work 40 hours per week. He shall be paid overtime for any hours of work exceeding 44 hours per week, or 8 hours per day.

4. The schedule will vary, day, afternoons, evenings, the Employee must be available for all days of the week, based on weekly schedules.

5. The EMPLOYEE shall be entitled to Days Off, Lunch & Breaks as per Alberta Employment Standards. 6. The EMPLOYEE shall be entitled to 6% vacation per Alberta Employment Standards.

7. The EMPLOYEE shall be entitled to 8 days of sick leave per year.

Wages and Deductions

8. The EMPLOYER agrees to pay The EMPLOYEE, for her work at the rate of $20.00/hour and time and a half after 44 hours per week or more than 8 hours per day. Any overtime will be paid out at a rate of $30.00 per hour. 9. The EMPLOYER agrees to remit all EMPLOYEE's income deductions to Canada Revenue Agency as prescribed by law (including, but not limited to Employment Insurance, Income Tax,and Canada Pension Plan . 10. The EMPLOYER shall not recoup from the EMPLOYEE, through payroll deductions or any other means, any costs incurred from recruiting the EMPLOYEE.

Reviewing Wages

11. If applicable, the EMPLOYER agrees to review and adjust (if necessary) the EMPLOYEE'S wages after 12 months of continuous employment, to ensure they meet the prevailing wage rate for the occupation in the region where the EMPLOYEE shall be employed.

Transportation Costs

12. The EMPLOYEE agrees to assume their own transportation costs to travel from his country of Residence to his new place of permanent residence and work in Canada.

Work Location

13. The EMPLOYEE will primarily perform their employment duties at: Suite 103, 206 Pembina Road (and various work sites within the region of Edmonton)

Accommodation

14. The EMPLOYER agrees to ensure and assist that reasonable and proper accommodation is available for the EMPLOYEE.

Hospital and Medical Care Insurance

15. The EMPLOYER agrees to provide health insurance at no cost to the foreign worker until such time as the worker is eligible for applicable provincial health insurance.

Workplace Safety Insurance (Worker's Compensation)

16. The EMPLOYER agrees to register The EMPLOYEE under the relevant provincial government insurance plan. The EMPLOYER agrees not to deduct money from The EMPLOYEE'S wages for this purpose.

Notice of Resignation

17. Should the EMPLOYEE wish to terminate the present contract, The EMPLOYEE agrees to give The EMPLOYER written notice thereof at least two weeks in advance.

Notice of Termination of Employment
18. The EMPLOYER must give written notice before terminating the contract of The EMPLOYEE if the EMPLOYEE has completed 3 months of uninterrupted service with the EMPLOYER and if the contract is not about to expire. This notice shall be provided at least two weeks in advance.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF the parties state that they have read and accepted all the terms and conditions stipulated in the present contract.
