I am very concerned that maybe we forgot to write down the name and DOB of my spouse on the back of the immigration photo.
We got photographer's information and no idea how we missed the name and DOB.

Did anyone experience such case? Will they send back our application?

I did the same. Do not worry! I got sponsor approval already and they have not sent my app back! They will most likely just request new photos. They will not send your app back.

Did the same, got a new photo request, added 2 weeks to our processing, then received our DM. :)

Thank you, people!
I can sleep now... I was really worried after so many months of preparation to miss something so obvious.

Best of luck to you!

I don't remember putting DOB either... glad to know it wouldn't be a big prob.

I checked. Previously from Feb 2012 to Dec 2015 there was no requirement to put anything in the back . Then in Dec 2015 they asked for photo studio name and date. Now in Jan 2016 they once again changed the rules to put studio details + Applicant name and DoB. So if you have sent the application beforehand, then they will just reach back and ask for a new pic with latest requirements.

Oh man... I totally missed that. No name, no DOB, no details about photograph details. The pictures were taken at a hole-in-the-wall type place in the market of a really remote Indian town.

Would you guys recommend sending in a new set once AOR1 is received?

That's! Thanks for sharing.
I remember clearly I updated the check list with the country instruction a few days before I sent the app because I noticed they've changed the date in the corner of the instruction's guide but I never looked at the photo specifications after we took the photos in January 2016.

I just noticed that as well, so thank you for sharing. We have the studio info just not the DOB or name, so were just writing it under the studio info. Hopefully it wont be a problem as well

I would like CIC to mention the update date on the guides just like they do on the forms. I could swear that I printed one of General Asia guides photo requirement page and sent it to my wife to take pictures according to specifications. The pictures were 35mm x 45mm. When I was sending the app, looked at the guide again it was updated to 50mm x 70mm, and it only required information from photographer. Now they require DOB and Name of the applicant too? I am gonna try to find the old guide to see if I am the only one going crazy here haha ;D

oh that is aweful. I (the sponsor) printed africa guide in december 2015 as we were intending on submitting it back then. But I finally mailed the app only in February, so her (my sponsored wife) pictures don't have the name DOB etc on the back like the new guide asks today. I'll ask her to redo the picture but it will probably be more than a 2 week delay for us just for the mail from her to here.

I updated the guide, so I don't have the old one from December 2015, but my hubby found it in his computer and that's correct, no name and DOB requirements.
Believe me, you are not alone in craziness... ;D

Hey Shantaveli,
I recently made the same mistake when submitting my provincial nominee application. I forgot my name and DOB on back of photos but they do have photographer stamp and date. Can you please tell me what office you submitted your app and what happened in your case? Really nervous as my nomination certificate will expire by the time they get back. How long it took for them to send you the letter of acknowledgement? I am losing sleep as well :(
Thanks

Hello, can someone please advise if handwritten Name and DOB as well date on which photograph was clicked would suffice. I am unsure if it can be printed, because printing may spoil the photograph. Please suggest, I am really worried.

Of course, handwritten.
