Hi

While my application for Visitor Visa extension(applied on 17th July 2018) was in progress, due to some emergency I had to travel back to my home country(India).

I returned back to Canada on 25th Oct 2018 and nothing was stamped on my passport at Toronto airport. But I forgot to withdraw my Visitor Visa extension. Today decision on that application came and they refused extension.

Since I have re-entered Canada on 25th Oct , Is this decision on extension still valid for me or my status as visitor is restored when I re-entered(for another 6 months)? Do I need to inform CIC that I had to withdraw my profile but missed it ?

My Visa multiple entry Visa and valid for 10 years.

Your visitor status lapsed when you left the country. The application/extension became void (or in your case, your extension was refused). You don't need to inform IRCC.

You were assessed for a new entry when you returned. You can stay for up to 6 months from the date of your new entry
