Hi Guys,

I applied PR under CEC in Dec through my previous company lawyer. When I left that company, that lawyer submit "cancelation of representative form" to CIC.

Techanically, I should be recieving any correspondence from CIC directly on my email after that. But somehow, CIC was contacting my ex-lawyer the whole time.

My ex-company was a very big corporation with a lot of employees applying for PR I am sure. Therefore, my lawyer is super slow and doesnot checks/responds to email right-away.

My lawyer sends me my RPRF request today, which is 50 days after recieving it from CIC ? Obv, I will call him first thing in the morning tomorrow to check everything. But in the meantime can someone please help me with following concerns:

1. What if CIC has requested some other documents (like NOA, T4 etc) and I failed to submit them withing the given timeframe ? How will it affect my PR application ?

2. Does recieving RPRF garuntees that CEC eligibility has already been passed. Only medical/security/admissibility check is due. Which means there is no need to submit NOA/T4 anymore ?

3. What if I have already recieved a MR from CIC and failed to submit it on-time ? How would it affect my application ?

How can I handle this situation. What can I do now ? Any suggestion.

Immediately submit your own cancellation form (Section C – Cancel the Appointment of a Representative) -

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/representative.asp

along with a written explanation about the delay in receiving the RPRF. Ask if there have been other requests that you have missed (e.g. medicals). And the RPRF, of course...

FEDEX the form overnight. Time is of the essence, and then you'll also have tracking for proof of delivery -

Have you ordered your GCMS notes ? Most of the requests that CIC makes are listed there with the date of the request.
