I am applying for a PR card as part of the Canadian Executive Class program. Immigration requested a medical this past April but when I took it I had high blood pressure that I didn't expect. I was put on meds and had a risk assessment done by a cardiologist who rated me low risk. Since then I haven't heard anything in 3 months. Is that amount of time unusual? Should I be assuming there's a problem with my file? When I called immigration they say they cannot check on it since its a completely different department. Can anyone suggest how I should proceed? Thanks.

Did u ordered GCMS?

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do but to wait. In my case the Med department sent me a request to take the exam again. But they sent the request through mail to my home address, not my mailing address and not via email. So you might want to check on that as well.

But then again, yes my friend you can not do anything but to wait.

I'm sure it'll be over soon enough and you'll be landing happily.

Best of luck,

There's nothing to do. High blood pressure is extremely common and is not a major financial drain on the system. And as "low risk" I'd be happy - both from a health perspective and from an immigration perspective. This won't derail your application.

Why do you scare the people with the title "Failed Medical Exam".
:o

but yes, you can order the GCMS notes to see what info was put in your file.
