Hello,

If while on implied status, if visitor visa extension is denied, how much time does CIC allow to exit Canada, 1 day? 1 week or atleast 2 weeks

Thank you for your replies.

You need to leave within 30 days. If you plan to return in the future, leave sooner rather than later.

Hi Scylla,

Thank you for your reply.

Would you be able to help me out with a few more queries on the extension.

I need to apply this for my parents whose status would expire in March. I need to extend their status by another 6 months. They are here on a TRV (not a super visa). In the document checklist for Visitors extension, they have a section for parents, where they require us to get a 1 year medical insurance for them. Is this an absolute requirement, even if I want to extend my parents TRV by 6 months only.

Thank you for your response.

I don't think you need medical insurance but if the extension is approved, your parents may undergo medical examination.

No, They arent refused yet. I am yet to apply and will in a couple of days. just wanted to know, how much would be the time allowed to exit, just in case they are refused. Hope that situation never arises...
