Hello! Last Dec 2018, I was able to enter in Canada as a visitor. I got married last Feb 2019 then my husband sponsored me. Our application was received last May 8, 2019 but still no AOR yet. Then I filed for an extension of of my visitor visa last May 24, 2019 because my visa was supposedly expiring last June 19, 2019. I got 2 months approved for my extension and will expire on August 31, 2019. I was wondering why they gave me 2 months for the extension instead of another 6 months????

If a visitor has already been in Canada for 6 months then there is never any guarantee any extension would be for another 6 months given a 12 month stay would imply someone is trying to live in Canada. A 2 month extension would be considered more realistic for a genuine visitor which you are not as such.

By sponsorship have applied inland with an OWP or Outland ?

We applied inland with an OWP. If my work permit won't come by August does that mean I'll have to leave? Or can I apply for another extension?
