Came to Canada in December - application still in works with sponsorship approved by then.

Recently learned that application rejected.

Went to MP's office, told them our 6 months almost up / want to apeal rejection. "Hold on I will contact CIC, don't do anything yet"

Had 2nd canadian born baby, spent 1 week going to hopital, Intensive Care. (i.e. we have been busy lol)

MP said we must appeal formally via appeal letter / ( During this last week our 6 months Visitor stay are now up)

Do we have to formally apply for Visa extension???? or not necessary while going waiting and going through appeal process? If necessary what is easiest way to do this?

we want to keep everything legit :)

On what grounds was the application denied?

When you say that "our visitor stay is now up"...who else besides yourself is now out of status?

Your status in Canada is an entirely separate matter from your PR app.

For your status, you need to immediately apply for Restoration. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/validity/restoration.asp

As for the PR app, DON'T APPEAL. It will cost you thousands of dollars, take a very long time and could likely fail because as you said yourself, you didn't include the medical upfront as is actually required.

It will be far cheaper, faster and easier to simply reapply and correct the issues with the app.

You don't need a lawyer if you are confident in the doing the process yourself.

Appeals can take anywhere from 6 months to years.

Seriously, just reapply and fix the issues with the app.

You don't need a TRP, you need to apply for Restoration. I already posted the link.
