Extending TRV for visitors from inside Canada

Hi,

Sorry in advance if this question has been asked already.

My parents are planning to visit from abroad in Sept 2020. Their TRV expires in Nov 2020. Would they be able to apply for a new TRV once they are in Canada, or would they have to apply from their home country?

I understand that they can try to extend their visitor record, but the TRV is a separate issue, related to entry into Canada.

1. Their TRV application would have to be sent to an overseas office. Only Workers/Students can apply in Canada.
