Hi guys,

I applied for essential travel for my fiance under the exclusive dating relationship criteria.

The application was refused because IRCC did not deem my fiance to be an extended family member.

How soon can you re apply? And could the rejection to travel be in part due to the deteriorating covid situation in India?

You can reapply immediately.

No - the refusal is not because of the situation in India. It means that you need to provide stronger evidence the trip is essential.

We did not include personal photos, since IRCC says not to.

Also what sort of evidence is needed apart from the notarized form and the IDs.

I applied for my husband on April 24th and I am yet to hear. How soon do you think they will respond. Plz reply

What type of relationship history do you have in person? Being engaged doesn’t mean that you’ve had an extensive relationship history. Have you lived together? Vacationed together? Gone out together alone to restaurants, movies, events, etc.? Is this an arranged marriage? It looks like you have been in Canada for quite some time.

I am planning to apply for the written authorization for my gf to reunite with me and I am confused as well.

Q1: Specifically, I am curious how to respond to "a detailed reason of how you meet a travel exemption to come to Canada"?
Q2: How to prove that the travel is for non-discretionary purposes.
