Hi, applying for American spouse to extend his visit status in Canada while we apply for inland submission (have not submitted inland yet). I was recommended to attach PR application fees to application to extend visit. Have a few questions about the form:

-original purpose of visit: we put family visit (visiting me)
-details on purpose visit: still family visit or should I put PR application??
-indicate how long to stay: put 6 months??
-have you previously applied to enter or remain in Canada: no idea how to answer. Does applied to enter mean spousal PR? If I am attaching PR application fee receipt, do I say yes to this question?

Want to fill out this form and send today as spouse's visit expires in 3 weeks!! (we were waiting for his passport to be renewed by consulate and sent back)

Someone please help! :(

I have most of the application filled out except the above questions. We're also trying to figure out how to submit the application. We only found pdf application but the webpage keeps saying we need to apply online. We created a GCKey account but can't find any place to upload our application. Someone please help :(

You have 3 weeks. There is no urgency or need to keep bumping your post.

Explain in the details that you are applying for sponsorship.

6 months is fine.

As he is in Canada, he has applied for entry previously, so it's a yes.

Their webpage says to apply minimum 30 days before status ends and we are under that so I thought not good!

Thank you for your help!! As he is American he did not apply to enter Canada when he came (unless entering Canada is considered an act of application?). We paid the PR + OWP fee but have not submitted the application yet. If we say no to this question, does it seem confusing to still include the fee receipt. Also the receipt did not say anywhere what it is for, should I attach a cover page explaining what the receipt is?

Thank you again.

The 30 days is a recommendation. He can apply up until his status expires.

Yes, he did apply. With the exception of illegal border jumpers, everyone who has entered Canada has applied to do so. For visa-exempt people, it is speaking to CBSA asking to enter Canada.

You can include a cover letter.

Thank you for your response. I guess that confuses me because then if coming into Canada is considered as previously applied to enter then why have the "no" option as this form is filled out by those already in Canada ?

No idea why.
